Setting Up

We're just setting up this site and this pubilshing business. We're not sure what we're doing or where we're heading with this. But, it just may get exciting.

In Search of Kafka

We have published our first novel, In Search of Kafka by Russell J.T. Dyer, author of software manuals on MySQL.

A comical high-tech thriller, tells the story of Oliver Whitman, a computer programmer and a friend who is a conspiracy theorist who believes Homeland Security is working with Starbucks to add chemicals to their coffee to sedate the middle-class public when negative press is released about the President.

One night Oliver helps his friend try to remove what he believes is a virus on his computer, but is actually someone hacking into the machine. Provoked and caught up in harmless geek fun, Oliver tries to fight back. Unfortunately, he’s been tricked: he’s been lured into attacking Starbucks’ server. Realizing his blunder, he makes a run for it, barely escaping apprehension by Homeland Security agents. Relentlessly pursued, he finds danger wherever he turns. He has to do something, but what? Someone is going to get hurt and surviving is going to require some difficult choices.

The Killdeer is a shorebird found on shores and far inland, preferring patches of muddy terrain. Over a snowy white body she wears a soft brown cape, held together by two dark bands running across her chest. She has a timid eyebrow pattern above her eyes. By her ears she sports smears of white tapering back like the wings of Mercury&mdash:the messenger and god of trade and commerce. With a creamy soprano cry, she sounds off in her own morse code as she scoots along the ground in spurts during the evenings, pausing to look for danger and opportunities in the soil.
